Born and raised in Lodi CA, Steve Giammona grew up in the world of JSG Trucking. His father Steve was a co-founder in the company. In high school his grandfather, Joseph V., and founder of JSG hired him to work during the summers. He worked at the JVG canned goods warehouse as well at the JSG yard. He credits those experiences as showing him the basics of trucking.
After graduating from Lodi High School in 2000, Steve moved to Los Angeles to attend the Los Angeles Music Academy and pursue his love of music and drums. After that adventure, Steve moved to Oakland CA where he spent four years running an after school and a summer program at a local elementary school as well as playing in bands. In 2009, Steve met his wife to be and they both moved to Sacramento to start a life together. After moving to Sacramento, he took a job as an Employment Training Specialist for developmentally disabled adults, which he did for three years. After the death of his father in 2012, Steve felt that the best way to honor his father was to see if there was the possibility of working at the company that his father helped start. After jumping through the hoops and having been put to the test, Steve started working in the JSG dispatch office in May of 2013. He says from that day forward, he has been hooked.
Steve describes himself as someone who does not look that far into the future, but when he does, he sees JSG Trucking proudly running for another 40 years.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with wife Katy and their dog Gulliver. He also enjoys going to concerts, playing the drums, spending time with friends and laying on the couch.
